There's more to Pampero Blanco than meets the eye. A good white rum should be fresh, clean, easy to mix and easy to drink. Blanco is all of these, but it's also an aged rum, made from a blend of traditional white rum aged for up to 4 years.
Unlike most white rums, distilled in column stills, the heavier rums of the Blanco blend are distilled in traditional copper stills, used elsewhere for scotch.
Ex-scotch white oak casks lend Blanco its fruity notes and originally a golden colour, which is later removed through charcoal filtering.
The ageing in white oak casks that have previously held scotch whisky helps this rum achieve the characteristic fruity nuts that make it such an amazing option for cocktail making.

Our story begins in Caracas, 1938. Two friends with humble beginnings, little distilling experience, but an unquenchable passion for making rum, took the unlikely step of using oak casks for ageing. Inspired by the free spirit of the Llaneros - the Venezuelan cowboys who helped liberate Central American countries from Spanish colonisers - Alejandro Hernandez and Luis Toro were determined to do things their way. Today the Llanero remains Pampero's™ symbol, representing the freedom of the plains and the passion of our founders' spirit. It lives on in the work of our maestro ronero, Luis Figueroa. This self-confessed "big man with a big nose" can talk about Pampero™ from dusk until dawn. But talking is no substitute for tasting, for "the truth," he says, "comes from the liquid."
The logo on the bottle represents the Llanero, the Venezuelan cowboy. The texture of the label emulates the texture of the llabero's saddle bag. The shape of the label represents 3 barrels, inspired by the fact that all Pampero rums are aged
